Sure, you have to stay home this Easter long weekend – but if you’re lucky enough to be a future resident of AVIVA on Broadway, every long weekend will feel like a holiday!
Once built, you’ll enjoy a trendy apartment lifestyle on the doorstep of picturesque Matilda Bay in Crawley, perfectly positioned to take advantage of the mild autumnal weather with dreamy days of chilling out, working out and dining in.
To help you imagine your future life, here’s a day in the life of you (if you lived at AVIVA) - social distancing friendly of course!
8:00am – Rise for morning coffee and pastries.
As the sun rises over the Darling Range, sunlight peeking through your apartment, your mind wanders to the feeling of wrapping your fingers around a fresh barista takeaway coffee from a local favourite, only 200 metres down the road from AVIVA, La Patisserie. You might also be tempted to grab one of their incredible freshly made pastries for later on in the morning. Think almond croissants, crepes or lemon tarts!
Alternatively, you might want to try somewhere new and head to Felix & Co. This specialty coffee bar showcases amazing quality coffee from the finest small batch roasters around Australia, with a focus on seasonal fresh-crop blends and single origins. Right now they’ve got the entire food and coffee menu available to takeaway, including scrumptious Mary Street Bakery pastries. So you get out your phone and use the Skip app to prepay your coffee order. Ten minutes later, it’s ready to pickup – the perfect start to your day.
8:30am – Go for a stroll in the fresh air
Buzzing from your caffeine kick, you can’t pass up the chance to stretch your legs in the fresh morning air. Kings Park is just down the road, where scenic walk trails wind through beautiful parkland and native bushland. Then again, detouring down to the river and walking home is pretty tempting. So you head to the water and take the riverfront pathways hugging picturesque grassed areas, little sandy beaches and bobbing boats.
11:00am - Chill out at home
Back home in your AVIVA apartment, you’re in the mood for relaxing and unwinding. And if you’re going to spend a few hours chilling out, this is the place to do it. With open, well-ventilated living spaces flooded in natural light, you won’t feel guilty curling up on the sofa to binge a season or two on Netflix.
After fixing a bite to eat in your gourmet kitchen (love those Miele appliances), you head out to your balcony for some fresh air. A gentle breeze blows, low sun splashing on your skin. You soon feel inspired to clear your mind with a quick open-air yoga session.
Feeling refreshed, you brew yourself a tea and settle in on your hanging swing egg chair with a good book, letting the hours slip away.
4.00pm – Hit the water at Matilda Bay
It’s been another gloriously sunny April afternoon. So you resist the urge to start a new season of Narcos and head out to make the most of the day’s last light. Matilda Bay is right on your doorstep, and a few SUPers are out and about (it’s a Crawley thing). You decide to join them. It’s the perfect low-impact workout really. You get out on the water, relieve stress and boost your mood – all without getting your hair wet.
The bay is calm and quiet. As the sun sets lower in the sky, you decide to stick around for a twilight paddle while city lights twinkle on the Swan.
7.00pm - Grab some takeaway from Steves
Time to call it a day. You arrive back at your AVIVA apartment and realise it’s starting to get a bit late to cook. Now you’ll just have to order in from Steves! They’re open seven days serving takeaway favourites like house pasta, fresh baguettes and Japanese sashimi, all using the freshest local produce.
If you order online, you can even get a bottle of wine (or three), as well as a few groceries to save you a trip to the shops tomorrow. They’ll even cook up a BBQ for you – looks like your night is sorted.
