Pindan has welcomed the State Government’s stamp duty rebate for buyers purchasing off-the-plan apartments, saying it was just what western suburbs property hunters had been waiting for.
“This is great news for buyers as it means they can get into a brand new apartment but still have a little more cash left in their pocket, which is ideal at this time of year and in a softer property market,” project sales manager Matthew Smith said.
The new rebate covers 75 per cent of stamp duty up to $50,000, with no cap on the purchase price of the apartment. Mr Smith said it was generating interest amongst buyers who had their eye on Pindan’s latest riverside development, Aviva on Broadway, Crawley, where they would save more than $11,000 in stamp duty on the purchase of an off-the-plan apartment worth $460,000.
“We’re confident that all-time low interest rates and the stamp duty relief, which makes buying an off-the-plan apartment more affordable than ever, will help a number of interested local and international buyers, mostly downsizers and professional couples, who’ve been weighing up their property options,” he said.
Aviva, at 150 Broadway, Crawley has apartments starting from $460,000 for one bedroom and $750,000 for two bedrooms.
