We believe it’s critical to ensure career opportunities abound for the next generation and also understand the importance of supporting the future of the construction industry. We help achieve this by investing in ‘transition to work’ school programs and apprenticeships.
By partnering with Registered Training Organisations (RTO), we’ve engaged year 11 & 12 students in traineeships, planting the seed of a career in trades or business administration. Likewise, our loyal sub-contractors have hosted and helped hundreds of aspiring young people to finish their trades-based apprenticeships through TAFE.
Our partnerships within our mentorship and traineeship programs are the lynchpin to our success. It’s an ethos that has seen us grow and develop the valuable team we employ today.
From Carpenter to Site Manager
Long-time Pindan employee Adam Hills had a similar journey to Riley and now holds a position as Site Manager.
Adam started with us as an eager leading hand carpenter which quickly progressed into a Trainee Site Supervisor role once his apprenticeship was complete. Within a short time, he was promoted to Site Manager and is currently site managing the RSLWA Anzac House project. Adam was nominated for the 2019 Ric New Medal for Excellence Award.
