Leading aged care provider Rosewood has announced WA construction group Pindan as the successful tenderer for its new $70 million aged care home in West Perth.
As part of a comprehensive redevelopment of Rosewood’s 5454sqm Cleaver Street property, the site will be transformed into a four-storey, purpose-built 152-bed residential care facility.
Under the plan, heritage-listed cottage, Florence Hummerston Lodge, will form the centrepiece of the development and undergo $500,000 of restoration works.
The blueprint also provides for an on-site café, basement car parking, wellness centre, day centre, and training rooms for medical, nursing and allied health trainees. In addition, there will be terraced gardens and Rosewood will invest $500,000 in public art.
Rosewood Chief Executive Officer Mario Zulberti said Rosewood was proud to be working with Pindan on its innovative West Perth development, which would help address critical shortages in the number of aged care beds in Western Australia.
