Pindan awarded $4m expansion project for State Government’s regional women’s refuges.

Congratulations to the Projects team for another 2021 win! The team have been busy over the last 6 months tendering for a range of projects in Perth metro and the south west and this win adds another feather to their growing cap!

The works will contribute to the economic recovery in Regional WA through infrastructure-driven job creation of which Pindan is proud to be a part of. Earthworks began in December 2020 with in-ground services and slab work now complete.

Completion is due for August this year with service delivery to commence immediately after. Knowing the capabilities of our Projects team, we have no doubt the project will likely be completed ahead of schedule.

The McGowan Government’s $4m construction project, part of a $28.1m support package, aims to expand the accommodation and service capacity of two new women’s refuges in an outer Perth region. Providing further resources and addressing family and domestic violence in the community is part of the WA Recovery Plan to double the capacity to assist the community in response to COVID-19 assistance.

Prevention of Family and Domestic Violence Minister Simone McGurk announced the expansion of six additional accommodation units at each site today. A worthy project to be a part of and to help provide support this year.

Well done team!
