Honor for Pindan at Master Builders Bankwest Building Excellence Awards

Leading WA property and construction company, Pindan, has received a prestigious award at the Master Builders Bankwest Building Excellence Awards Kimberley - Pilbara.

Pindan triumphed in the Best Commercial Alterations, Additions and Restorations over $6.5m category for its Community Hub project in the heart of Dampier, northwest Western Australia.

Since significantly boosting community facilities and strengthening the town centre, the newly developed hub has been praised by the City of Karratha and local residents following its completion in September 2016.

Revitalising Dampier’s Community Hub included the addition of a multipurpose centre, the refurbishment of an existing community hall, and the construction of a new early learning centre, outdoor areas, a library and more.

The project is one of more than 100 projects under the Pilbara Cities Initiative, delivered by the Pilbara Development Commission, which is making the Pilbara a great place to live and raise a family.

The Master Builders Bankwest Building Excellence Awards are unique because they are judged primarily on the quality of workmanship, with judges focusing on all aspects of the building process.

Pindan Contracting Managing Director, Tony Gerber, said the award is a result of Pindan’s long-standing commitment to the Pilbara and the company’s presence in the region over many years.

“Receiving this accolade confirms the trust regional and remote communities have in Pindan to deliver projects of the highest quality."

“The current construction of the new $39.5m Integrated Marine Operations Centre in Port Hedland certainly reflects our status of delivering community minded projects in remote and regional communities,” Mr Gerber added.
