NW Hostel and Housing Projects Win Pindan 3 MBA Excellence Awards

Pindan has won three prestigious awards at the 2018 Master Builders-Bankwest Kimberley Pilbara Building Excellence Awards.

Pindan Contracting was recognised twice for its work on an 8-bed Renal Hostel in Kununurra, taking home the awards for best Commercial/Industrial Building ($1m to $2.5m) and Best Steel Building earlier this month.

Built on Jasmine Lane for client WA Country Health Services, the single storey hostel includes administration and staff areas, a kitchen and laundry plus three accommodation wings. Carparks and native-style landscaping were also installed during the $1.8m project.

Meanwhile, a turnkey residential development in Learmonth won the Multi Residential Development Award for projects valued between $1m and $2.5m.

The project, for client Defence Housing Australia, saw Pindan Contracting design and construct four family houses within a new estate at the RAAF Base in Learmonth, about 35km south of Exmouth. The four bedroom, two bathroom homes will be used by Defence personnel and their families.

Managing Director for Pindan Contracting, Mr Tony Gerber, said Pindan had been successfully completing award-winning projects in WA’s North-west for many years.

“These awards recognise our ability to specialise in all manner of civil and commercial infrastructure projects – even in remote locations – and are testament to Pindan’s capacity to provide exceptional integrated design and construction solutions to our clients.”

“We are proud of these two projects and hope they serve the residents of Kununurra and Learmonth well for many years to come.”
