Pindan Asset Management Scoops National Award

Pindan Asset Management (PAM) was recognised for its best practice techniques and originality in two categories at the Asset Management Council Awards in Hobart last month.

The PAM team were nominated as a finalist in the Safety category and were declared winners in the Information Management category thanks to their unique approach to asset management data and analysis of the data to better inform decision making.
General Manager for Pindan Asset Management (PAM), Stephen Arndt, said when the team set up the system back in 2014, the intention was always to collect and use data effectively to provide clients with the best possible asset management system.
“It is great to be recognised for the intelligence used to generate better outcomes.
“I was already really proud of the work we did in this space and the results we were able to achieve internally and for our clients, but this award at a national level, is great recognition.
“For me it’s a clear indication we are right on track to deliver a class leading solution,” he said.
The Asset Management Information Management Award for Excellence recognises a project which demonstrates best practice techniques and originality in the use and management of asset data in one or more of the areas of acquiring, storage, representation/interpretation and use of data for decision making.
PAM is currently contracted to provide housing maintenance services to around 6000 assets across the Pilbara and Midwest regions on behalf of the WA Housing Authority and the award recognised the benefits of their unique system used on behalf of this client.
“In response to the unique challenges in the region, we operate a largely self-deliver service model using a mobile work order platform to effectively equip a workforce of tradespersons and support services to complete the maintenance works.
“Our Work Order Management system is a paperless mobile solution which enables the collection and reporting of data in real time which has enabled us to move through the delivery of good outcomes for our clients, but now onto excellent ones,” he said.
