Mr Roux said he and his wife considered the Gold Coast 'home' after living in Durban, Sydney and Perth in recent years.
"The Gold Coast is similar to our native Durban in terms of its beautiful climate, and it's got all the atmosphere of a vibrant city without being as busy as the capitals," he said.
"We moved here a couple of years ago and purchased our business, Asset Air Conditioning, and we haven't looked back.
"We have always loved living on the water and appreciate the way Mahala is designed to suit its beachside location. With only three apartments per floor on the upper levels, all living spaces in our apartment open on to a balcony, to capture ocean views, sunlight and breezes."
