Pindan Appoints Local Builder for Maroochydore Development
Integrated property group Pindan has announced the appointment of a Sunshine Coast-based construction company to build its sought-after Plaza Central apartment project in Maroochydore.
The $11 million contract
has been awarded to the privately-owned local builder RCQ Construction.
Pindan Acquisition Manager Remi Rafter said the company was pleased construction of the contemporary development on Pikki Street would begin in September.
Designed by another local firm, Sprout Architects, Plaza Central is located 100 metres from the now upgraded Sunshine Plaza Shopping Centre and is within walking distance of the Maroochydore CBD, Ocean Street's popular restaurants and cafes, and the Cotton Tree waterfront dining area. It’s also just a short drive to the Coast’s best beaches.
The development features two five-level buildings with 85 one, two and three bedroom apartments with spacious balconies or terraces and six ground-floor commercial tenancies.
“This development has quickly been met with strong demand and it’s now enjoying another level of interest thanks to the $25,000 Federal Building Package and Queensland’s $15,000 First Home Buyer Grant.
“With construction due to commence soon, Plaza Central is ideally placed to meet the construction eligibility criteria of commencing within three months from the contract date, enabling eligible first home buyers to secure up to $40,000 worth of grants.”
Stage 1 is now 70% sold, with only 13 of the 42 residences still available including one bed one bath, two bed one bath, and two bed two bath lot configurations.
Plaza Central also features lift access, secure underground parking, and a choice of internal colour schemes. Construction is due to be completed in the last quarter of 2021.
Apartments start from $309,000.
