The SLSC incorporates custom designed operational and training surf lifesaving clubroom facilities.

This including equipment storage areas, change-rooms, gymnasium, modern first aid, operations rooms, youth lounge, lookout area and training rooms, multifunction room and kitchen, as well as public facilities, a new 150 car and bus car parking area, a grassed public open space area with shade shelters, public BBQ’s, and a new beach access to the beach on Cockburn Sound. Significant sustainability design elements have been included in the building design, such as passive heating and cooling elements, and use where possible of recycled products to reduce embedded energy and greenhouse gas reductions. The design has also included, rain water harvesting, and greywater recycling for use onsite, with solar energy production from solar panels and a future wind turbine.
