Pindan was awarded Stage 20 of the building works at Corpus Christi College, which consisted of the much-awaited aquatic centre.
The centres features a fully tiled and heated 8 lane, 25-metre pool, with a separate learn-to-swim pool, which is also fully tiled.
Exposed aggregate paving will surround the pool, which carries through to the tiered seating.
Large structural steel columns support a feature roof and curved ceiling finished with aluminium perforated coruline panels. 2500mm high windows and blue Danpalon panels surround the aquatic centre.
Incorporated into the design are provisions for a future electronic touch pad timing system and a water polo scoreboard.
Wheelchair access into the pool by the hydraulic platform lift makes the centre accessible for all.
