Pindan transformed the historical 1910 Midland Workshops into a vibrant office space that houses 350 employees of the WA Police Operations Support Facility.

Much consideration went into converting the heritage listed building using a portal steel frame, with infill pre-stressed flooring and full height aluminum windows. The 4124m² area has a light and bright appeal that contrasts dramatically with the old brick building. The project included the renovation of the flanging shop to comply with heritage conditions and the retention of some of the original heritage - listed machinery. The support facility has been constructed within the walls of a heritage – listed Midland Railway Workshop and is simply an office building cased within a glass box separating the original Heritage structure.
