Pindan were engaged under an Early Contractor Involvement process and were a collaborative team member along with the Architect & RSLWA in determining the final design outcome ensuring best value outcome.
Early phases of the works involved demolition of the existing RSLWA Headquarters, artefact retention, archived archaeological basement excavation, relocation of services from within the site to allow for construction of the basement piling and foundation system.
The final design was for a 7-level office and function building with a single level of basement car parking. The building is designed to house the full range of support advocacy services for Return Service personnel along with social & ceremonial accommodation.
With new retail & café facilities on street level, the building is also home to the new Anzac Club on Level 1 overlooking the terrace. The upper levels of open plan and cellular office spaces accommodate a wide range of functions from meeting facilities to consult rooms, medical centre, therapy spaces and ceremonial halls.
